Anxiety Disorder effects over 40 million American adults 18 years or older. This disorder is a pattern of constant and exaggerated worry and/or feeling of fear and uneasiness over many different activities and events.

Anxiety Disorders are often co-morbid with other disorders, particularly clinical depression, which may occur in as many as 60% of people with Anxiety Disorders. Left untreated, Anxiety Disorders can worsen and become debilitating.

Anxiety Disorder Symptoms May Include the Following:

  • Constant presence of worrying or tension with little or no cause
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Problems falling asleep, staying asleep, restless sleeping or unsatisfying sleep
  • Restlessness
  • Easily startled
  • Muscle tension (usually represented in shakiness or headaches)
  • Stomach problems (nausea or diarrhea)
